Thousands more jobs axed

The jobs axe has cut deeper into the UK economy, with thousands more posts being slashed as unemployment edged closer to the two million mark.

Plumbing and building supplies firm Wolseley is to cut 2,000 jobs and close 200 branches in the UK.

National Express will trim more than 300 workers from its East Anglia franchise, and Independent News and Media said it is axing 90 posts.

The world feeds the poor, the poor become reliant upon such aid, why grow your own when people send you food? What people need is help and basic, reliable technology. Teach people to help themselves.
