Carey condemns Mosley ruling

Formula One boss Max Mosley's privacy win over the News of the World set a "dangerous precedent", ex-Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey has said.

Lord Carey said free speech has been the "first major victim" and the courts have created a new privacy law without public debate or political scrutiny.

Lord Carey - archbishop from 1991 to 2002 - added the High Court judgment served to undermine public morality.
