Independent school head quits
The head of Britain's most prestigious independent schools organisation has dramatically quit his post and resigned as head of a leading fee-paying school.
Rev Tim Hastie-Smith stepped down from the Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference for "personal reasons" and left his job at Dean Close, Cheltenham.
Mr Hastie-Smith came under fire last week after employing a teacher who had secretly filmed a pupil having sex.
