Industry relations examined

Co-operative industrial relations between employers and employees can lead to lower national unemployment, a university study of 69 countries found.

Dr Horst Feldmann's findings suggest that by encouraging better industrial relations, some countries could cut their unemployment rate substantially.

Of the countries studied, Jamaica had the most confrontational relations and Singapore had the most co-operative.
