Duke 'sympathised with Diana'
The Duke of Edinburgh sympathised with Diana, Princess of Wales, as her marriage broke down, a television documentary has revealed.
Philip has been accused of writing "derogatory" letters to his daughter-in-law, but royal historian Hugh Vickers said he showed concern.
An advisor to the Duke told the documentary he did not speak out about the letters until a few years ago.
