Stakes high, says Brown
Gordon Brown has warned fellow world leaders the stakes are "higher than ever before" as he called for agreement on reforms of the financial system.
Ahead of a meeting of EU leaders in Brussels, the PM said co-ordinated action to improve liquidity is not enough for long-term stability.
Now governments around the world must deliver reforms to restore confidence to the financial markets, he said.
