Watchdog slams lottery ad
An ad for lottery scratchcards unfairly denigrated bingo clubs by implying they were a dying industry, the Advertising Standards Authority watchdog has ruled.
The TV ad by Camelot showed a woman on a mobility scooter tutting as she drove past a closed bingo hall.
The image was then scratched out and replaced with the woman driving along a sunny beachfront, with a voice-over promoting a new scratchcard.
