Police chief died of exposure

Police chief Michael Todd died from exposure on Mount Snowdon after taking drink and drugs as his personal life unravelled, an inquest has heard.

Clergyman condemned over blog

A clergyman has been condemned by his own diocese after he wrote gay men should be forced to have "sodomy" warnings tattooed on their bodies.

The remarks by the Rev Peter Mullen, 66, who ministers to Church of England parishes in the City of London, were contained in a series of blog comments.

Diocese officials met Mr Mullen and it was agreed the comments, which he claims were a joke, should be removed.

Police use Taser gun on ram

Police have come under fire for turning a Taser stun gun on a runaway ram which got loose on a busy dual carriageway.

Drivers watched as the rogue ram -since dubbed "Sparky" by locals - was stunned by a Taser gun used by a North Wales policeman on the A55 at St Asaph.

The RSPCA is investigating the matter but has hit out at the force for failing to find a more humane method of dealing with the problem.
