Homes 'down £45 a day'

UK house prices have fallen by an average of nearly £45 a day since the beginning of the year, figures show.

The average value of a home has dropped by £310.73 a week in 2008 as the property market slows in the face of problems caused by the credit crunch.

People in London have been the biggest losers, with nearly £1,000 a week wiped off the value of their home, according to property website Zoopla.co.uk.
