Bhutto widower wins vote
The widower of murdered former leader Benazir Bhutto will succeed Pervez Musharraf as president of Pakistan after a landslide election victory.
Partial results announced by officials show that Asif Ali Zardari won an overwhelming majority of the votes.
But the vote was marred by violence including a suicide attack in Peshwar which killed at least 17 people and clashes that killed 24 in Tehsil Matta.
