MOTO GP: Suzuki pair extend stay
Riders Chris Vermeulen and Loris Capirossi have signed new one-year deals with the Rizla Suzuki team.
Australian Vermeulen is in his third season with the Japanese manufacturer and is sixth in the championship, while veteran Italian Capirossi, who joined at the end of 2007, is ninth.
Vermeulen said: "I'm extremely happy to be staying. It is a squad that I know well and respect enormously."
Bike boost for Redding
Teenage British GP winner Scott Redding has secured a factory Aprilia 125cc machine for the 2009 season.
Redding continued his debut season for Blusens Aprilla with a race win at his home round, making the 15-year-old one of the hottest properties in the class.
He told MCN News: "To get a factory bike is brilliant. The latest spec factory bike will let me fight for the championship next season."
