SUPERBIKES: Bayliss sets fastest time
Ducati's Troy Bayliss continued his bid to win his third World Superbike title with the fastest time as his farewell ride at Donington Park got under way.
Bayliss, who won the title in 2001 and 2006, retires at the end of the season and set a time of 1min 44.377sec to head Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari.
Honda's Leon Haslam and Carl Crutchlow were third and fifth respectively, with Tom Sykes fourth best on a Suzuki.
