F1: Former champion Hill dies
Phil Hill, the only American-born Formula One world champion, has died in California at the age of 81 after a battle with ill health.
Hill won the drivers' championship in 1961 in what was Ferrari's first constructors' title-winning season.
Hill, who was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1991, won three F1 races in all as well as three Le Mans 24 Hour races.
