F1: Hill backing Hamilton
Former world champion Damon Hill is hoping Lewis Hamilton will become the first Briton to claim the title since his own triumph in 1996.
The Hertfordshire ace currently holds a five-point lead with seven races left to run this season.
Hill told the Sun: "I'd like to see Lewis win it. He's a superstar really, and it's very exciting that he is carrying the British flag."
Heikki: No Lewis support
Heikki Kovalainen will not support McLaren team-mate Lewis Hamilton's bid to become world champion.
With seven races remaining, Hamilton goes into Sunday's European Grand Prix with a five-point lead over Ferrari's reigning world champion Kimi Raikkonen.
Kovalainen said: "With regard to helping Lewis, I don't think he needs any help to be honest. He is strong enough to win it himself."
