MOTO GP: Melandri joins Kawasaki
Marco Melandri will join Kawasaki for 2009, putting an end to his miserable spell with the factory Ducati team.
Melandri had been expected to be a match for team-mate Casey Stoner but has spent most of the season running at the rear of the field.
He told motogp.com: "I will ride for Kawasaki next year, so it's a big change for me. I now hope to get good results in the last six races of 2008."
