SUPERBIKES: Double delight for Byrne
Shane Byrne was happy to reflect on the victory double which rounded off his British Championship-winning season.
The Airwaves Ducati rider romped to an easy success at Brands Hatch in race one but had to wait until the last lap to get pass Leon Haslam in the second.
Byrne said: "I just went for it. That is the best (race) I've ever had but I wanted to end on a winning note. I was able to go out and put on a show."
Ellison: Potential there
James Ellison was thrilled with his podium finish in Kent on the final day of the British Championship season.
The Hydrex Bike Animal Honda rider from Kendal took a battling third place - his fourth podium of the 2008 campaign - in race one at Brands Hatch.
Ellison said: "We pushed them all the way, so I'm really happy. It just shows what this team and bike is capable of doing. It's been a good package."
