Horoscope of X-Files' David Duchovny

Actor David Duchovny, who's rather modest about his good looks, was born on August 7, 1960, in New York, writes astrologer Henri Llewelyn Davies.

He stars in the film The X Files: I Want To Believe – after making his name in the cult sci-fi TV series.

The ambitious Leo was likely to succeed in whatever profession he chose, and he has won two Golden Globes (one of them in 2007, for US TV's Californication).

He speaks French, Latin and Hebrew. Academic in his youth, he went to top US universities Princeton and Yale.

With his Mercury in sensitive Cancer, he won praise for his poetry-writing at that age. Around then, he also began appearing in off-Broadway plays.

With Sun, Venus and Uranus in Leo, the sign of the actor, he was bitten by the performing bug and from 1987 he pursued that career full-time, instead of finishing his uni doctorate.

He starred in The X-Files from 1993-2001. But with Mars in easily-bored Gemini, he wanted variety in his work.

In 2005 he directed, wrote and acted in film The House Of D - a rite of passage tale redolent of his own childhood.

As a Leo, Duchovny relates well to kids, and with Mercury in Cancer he has strong emotional memories of his youth.

He's been married since 1997 and lives with actress wife Tea Leoni and children Madelaine, nine, and Kyd, six, in Malibu, California.

Sociable Leo Duchovny was very friendly with co-stars Gillian Anderson and Nicholas Lea in TV's The X-Files.

In 1998, the filming of the series was moved from Vancouver to Los Angeles (largely because Duchovny's wife lived in LA).

Well-known for his acid, sarcastic tongue, Duchovny said: "Vancouver is a very nice place if you like 400 inches of rainfall a day."

With Jupiter in athletic Sagittarius, Duchovny was talented at baseball in his youth. A film or TV series with a sporty theme could attract him in the not too distant future.
