Villegas claims BMW win

Colombian Camilo Villegas displayed composure beyond his 26 years to win the £3.9m BMW Championship in St Louis.

Villegas, in his third season on the US Tour, held onto his lead with a final round of 68 to finish 15 under par, two strokes clear of Dudley Hart.

Vijay Singh's level-par finish means he will take the £5.6m bonus for winning the FedEx Cup if he completes 72 holes at the Tour Championship finale.

Victory thrills Villegas

Camilo Villegas admitted he had overcome a tough week to win the £3.9m BMW Championship in St Louis.

The Colombian held his nerve to claim a two-shot victory ahead of Dudley Hart in the tournament which had been affected by bad weather.

The 26-year-old said: "It's been a crazy week with the weather, long days but you know what, I'll do everything it takes to win a tournament."

Re: Darren, Lurgan. Celtic and Rangers attract "big" names like Dailly, Lennon, Weir, Hartson etc because they can offer Champions League football for one or two games. Without Europe they would plummet down the English leagues. They are best suited to their SPL where they can win games. Norm, Newcastle
