Seve has brain tumour
Spanish golf legend Seve Ballesteros has revealed he has a brain tumour and will undergo a biopsy on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old Spaniard, who collapsed at Madrid airport on Monday, released a statement after leaving intensive care following a series of tests by doctors.
It read: "I have been one of the best at overcoming obstacles on the course. And now I want to be the best, facing the most difficult game of my life."
Olazabal support for Seve
Jose Maria Olazabal is "confident" Spanish legend Seve Ballesteros will recover from his brain tumour.
Ballesteros, who collapsed at Madrid airport last Monday, revealed his illness in a statement to the media.
Fellow countryman Olazabal, who has visited Ballesteros, said: "While I'm rightly worried, I thought Seve seemed very well. We were talking for a good while. I wish him a speedy recovery."
Spence hails 'legend'
Englishman Jamie Spence has hailed "legend" Seve Ballesteros as the Spaniard battles a brain tumour.
Ballesteros revealed his illness in a statement on Sunday and Spence, who spent 20 years on the tour, had nothing but praise for the 51-year-old.
Spence said: "He was always helpful on the range to the up-and-coming players, he would always give someone a couple of minutes. He was just fantastic."
