Politician slams SPL

SPL chairman Lex Gold has been accused of "shying away" from tackling alleged pro-IRA chanting by some Celtic fans.

NI Assembly member Jimmy Spratt, a unionist politician, wrote to Gold and claimed he heard sectarian chants from Celtic fans during their win at Hearts.

He said: "I am considerably underwhelmed at how the SPL intend to deal with this specific example of sectarianism in football."
