Lawrence losing battle

Liam Lawrence says he is not likely to be fit for the Premier League clash with Tottenham a week on Sunday.

The 26-year-old midfielder injured his ankle last month when he tripped over his labrador, and scans on Thursday showed he is taking time to heal.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I'm still struggling to walk. It's doing my head in to be honest, I just want to be back as we need to be winning points."
