Traore in Pompey loan
FA Cup holders Portsmouth have signed Arsenal's French left-back Armand Traore on a one-year loan deal.
Traore, who joined the Gunners from Monaco in 2005, has made 18 first-team appearances, including the Carling Cup final two years ago.
Mikael Silvestre's surprise move to the Emirates Stadium has given 18-year-old Traore the opportunity to gain more first-team experience at Fratton Park.
Thomas signs Pompey deal
Winger Jerome Thomas has signed a one-year contract with Portsmouth, who have decided to make permanent his loan move from Championship club Charlton.
Pompey will pay the Addicks an undisclosed fee if the 25-year-old makes a certain number of appearances.
Chief executive Peter Storrie told the News: "It's a simple conversion from a loan deal to a permanent contract for a year. It frees up a loan space for us."
