Pompey suffer Diop blow
Portsmouth midfielder Papa Bouba Diop has been ruled out for three months with a knee injury.
The Senegalese strained ligaments in his right knee while making a challenge in the loss at Arsenal on December 28.
And after visiting a consultant, head physio Gary Sadler confirmed that Diop will be out for a minimum of 12 weeks, with damage to Diop's posterior cruciate ligament a particular worry.
Adams eyes Johnson deal
Portsmouth boss Tony Adams is hoping to agree a new four-year deal with in-demand full-back Glen Johnson.
The right-back has been linked with a move away, with Liverpool believed to be monitoring his situation.
But after the exit of Lassana Diarra and the expected departure of Jermain Defoe, Johnson looks set to stay and talks to extend his current deal until 2013 are thought to be going well.
Brown denies Pompey move
Portsmouth transfer target Scott Brown insists he is happy at Celtic.
Manager Tony Adams has been reportedly lining up a £9m bid for the Scotland midfielder, financed by the sale of Lassana Diarra to Real Madrid.
But Brown said: "I'm a Celtic player and I'm enjoying it just now. I want to keep that going. I'm enjoying winning games and am looking forward to the future and playing in Europe."
