Ipswich target Campo
Ipswich boss Jim Magilton will try to persuade Ivan Campo to join the Portman Road club when the pair meet for talks.
Campo, 34, who won the Champions League with Real Madrid before joining Bolton, watched the friendly defeat to West Ham on Monday from the directors' box.
Magilton told the club website: "We will sit down and have a chat and if there is something we can sort out, then great. If not, we move on."
Cardiff sign Bothroyd
Cardiff have completed the signing of Wolves striker Jay Bothroyd on a three- year deal for a fee of around £300,000.
The 26-year-old spent time last season on loan at Stoke after Mick McCarthy signed Sylvan Ebanks-Blake in January.
Bothroyd told Cardiff's website: "I'm extremely pleased to sign for such an ambitious club. I've seen the passion this club can command. I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible."
