West Ham lodge appeal
The Court of Arbitration for Sport have confirmed West Ham have filed an appeal against Sheffield United's claim for compensation for their relegation.
The CAS have opened proceedings to see if they can hear the Hammers' appeal against a ruling which could see them pay out over the Carlos Tevez affair.
A statement said: "A decision on jurisdiction is not to be expected before the end of November 2008."
