Everton deny sale talk
Everton officials have denied speculation the Premier League club is on the brink of being sold.
Reports had suggested a deal was at an advanced stage, linking chairman Bill Kenwright with a trip overseas for talks with a potential buyer.
A spokesman said: "Contrary to media reports, the club is not on the verge of being sold. Mr Kenwright spent Friday in his London office."
Moyes deal imminent
David Moyes now expects to sign his new five-year contract before Everton's next match at Arsenal on October 18.
The long-running saga of the manager's new terms seemed to be over when the Scot, who has been in charge since 2002, said last week that he expected to sign the deal "within days".
But a few minor details are still be finalised and Moyes said: "The contract is still with the lawyers."
