Tardelli warns Ireland
Ireland assistant boss Marco Tardelli has warned his side to take nothing for granted against Cyprus as they attempt to edge closer to a World Cup spot.
Ireland's next opponents sit second bottom of Group 8 but Tardelli feels they have been unlucky to drop points against Italy and Georgia.
Tardelli said: "It's going to be a very dangerous match as Cyprus are a good team with well motivated players."
Worthington rues defeat
Nigel Worthington was left cursing his luck as Northern Ireland's World Cup hopes suffered another setback.
Late goals from Milivoje Novakovic and Zlatan Ljubijankic handed Slovenia a 2-0 victory to leave Northern Ireland stranded on two points in Group 3.
Worthington said: "It was a bitter blow but I thought the players were superb with their energy and commitment. We created some decent chances."
