RBS chiefs to quit
Royal Bank of Scotland chief executive Sir Fred Goodwin and chairman Sir Tom McKillop are to step down.
Sir Fred will be replaced immediately by former investment banker Stephen Hester, who is chief executive of property giant British Land.
The bank's planned £15bn share issue will be underwritten by the Government. If no investors take them up, the state will have a 57% stake in the firm.
