Bloomsbury adult boost
Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury has seen interim pre-tax profit rise 38.5% to £5.4m boosted by record performance in its adult books division.
In the half to June 30, sales of The Kite Runner were strong but revenue of £42.1m was down 18% on last year which was boosted by a Harry Potter release.
The firm's book pipeline includes Alice Schroeder's biography of Warren Buffet; The Snowball. Shares rose 4¼p to 170p.
