No action over Northern
Nationalised lender Northern Rock has said no legal action will be taken against former directors at the centre of the group's collapse last year.
A review into the previous regime, which was headed by chief executive Adam Applegarth, found "insufficient grounds to proceed with legal action".
It added it is ahead of its Government loan repayment target, having paid back more than half the £26bn owed.
