Britney speaks about breakdown
Britney Spears has said she can't explain her erratic behaviour over the past two years.
The wayward star admits she made many mistakes - including shaving her head and being hospitalised after a row with police - in an MTV special, Britney: For The Record.
The 26-year-old said: "I sit there and I look back and I'm like, 'I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?'"
Simon Pegg signs £1m book deal
British actor Simon Pegg has signed a reported £1m deal for his memoirs.
The star of How To Lose Friends & Alienate People has agreed a deal with publisher Hodder & Stoughton to release his autobiography, plus two more books.
A spokesman for the publishing house said: "Pegg writes for us but somehow the films appeal to America too. He is our biggest export."
Jordan a hit at horse show
Model and TV star Katie Price proved a big hit at the Horse Of The Year Show at Birmingham's NEC.
Price, aka Jordan, who has been riding since she was a kid, earned rapturous applause from the crowd when she gave a dressage demonstration on her horse, Jordan's Glamour Girl.
Afterwards she said she'd enjoyed the experience before organisers invited her back to ride in Sunday's finale.
Sugababe's boyf: Attack denied
A man has denied a machete attack on the boyfriend of Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah in Aldershot.
Jimmy Wenman, 29, of Bentley, Hants, pleaded not guilty to wounding with intent against Freddie Fuller, 25. His trial is due to start on November 17.
Mr Fuller was treated for severe injuries to his arms and legs after an incident near a pub in Aldershot on Christmas Eve last year.
Liz safety pin dress an icon
Liz Hurley's famous safety pin dress has been voted the most iconic garment in a new poll.
The black Versace outfit, showcased by Hurley at the 1994 premiere of Four Weddings And A Funeral, beat the Givenchy gown worn by Audrey Hepburn at the 1954 Oscars into second place.

Pro dancers rally round Brucie
Strictly Come Dancing's pro dancers are rallying around host Bruce Forsyth after calls he should retire.
Viewers complained after Brucie, 80, made an off-colour joke and slipped up by accidentally calling actress Jessie Wallace "Jelly".
Anton Du Beke told The Sun: "Brucie's irreplaceable." And Lilia Kopylova said: "He's such a big part of the show. We all love Brucie."
Al Murray in marriage split
Pub Landlord star Al Murray has split from wife Amber after eight years of marriage.
The Sun reports that Murray, 40, has been left 'devastated' by the break up and has moved out of their west London home which he shared with Amber, 31, and their two daughters.
His spokesman said: "Al has separated from his wife. It's not what he wanted. Clearly it's a distressing situation."
