No more Nightmares for Ramsay
Gordon Ramsay has revealed that he is quitting the US version of his hit Channel 4 show Kitchen Nightmares.
The chef, 41, who has made five series of the UK version, told GMTV: "I haven't said this before but I don't want to do any more Nightmares.
"I think I want to stop as it's a lot of hard work. I put so much effort into it, but then when it doesn't work I get the blame!"
Gordon Ramsay says he plans to quit Kitchen Nightmares USA even though TV bosses are begging him for more.
The chef, who's made one series of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA, said: "They've just asked for 25 more. When we had the last programme that went out, there were 33,000 applicants."
He made the revelation as he prepares to return in a new run of Gordon Ramsay's The F Word on C4 on Tuesday. A source said the UK show will continue.
Ramsay has also launched an attack on fat chefs and Delia Smith's "lazy cooking" in her recent BBC2 series.
He said: "I don't think a chef should be fat, as I was fat once and I think it's not a good advert for customers."
As for Delia's use of tinned items in recipes, he added: "She was an icon. Now I'm frustrated that we have to teach a nation to cook from a tin. Tinned mince! So I'm insulted - I'm fed up with that level of laziness."
