Law to leave Lancashire
Lancashire will not renew the contract of captain Stuart Law for next season.
Law, who turns 40 next week, joined Lancashire from Essex in 2002 and scored almost 12,000 runs for the Red Rose in all competitions. Glen Chapple will take over the captaincy.
Chief executive Jim Cumbes said: "Stuart has served us superbly, but the club is committed to giving younger squad members the opportunity to grow."
Croft heading Down Under
Lancashire all-rounder Steve Croft has revealed he is close to signing a winter contract with Auckland.
Croft, the Red Rose county's player of the year, finished the summer with 585 first-class runs - hitting one ton and three fifties - and took 16 wickets.
The 24-year-old told their website: "It's all pretty much sorted. Going away to play first-class cricket means it will be something extra special."
