Harmison back in ODI fold
Fast bowler Steve Harmison has come out of ODI retirement and will replace the injured Ryan Sidebottom against South Africa on Friday at Headingley.
The 29-year-old Durham quick played the last of his 46 ODIs in the Champions Trophy in India two years ago.
Harmison said: "I was asked by the England management to reassess my retirement and it is something I have been thinking about for a while."
Prior out to secure spot
Matt Prior is determined to stake his claim as the best wicketkeeper-batsman at the disposal of England's bosses.
The 26-year-old Sussex player is with the one-day squad preparing to face South Africa in Friday's opener at Headingley to the five-match series.
Prior said: "When I was left out (of the England set-up last year), my goal was to get on a winter tour - and that hasn't changed."
