Croft heading Down Under
Lancashire all-rounder Steve Croft has revealed he is close to signing a winter contract with Auckland.
Croft, the Red Rose county's player of the year, finished the summer with 585 first-class runs - hitting one ton and three fifties - and took 16 wickets.
The 24-year-old told their website: "It's all pretty much sorted. Going away to play first-class cricket means it will be something extra special."
