Vortex: 'Madding' gets a vote
No good British movies since 1950 eh? Well, that's stuff of nonsense. For example, try Far From The Madding Crowd (1967) directed by John Schlesinger and starring Terence Stamp and Alan Bates amongst others. Absolutely fab film.
As for a movie to be scared by: at 12 I saw Night Of The Demon (1957), a b/w chiller, on the TV one night. I am still scarified by that film, even though the demon is a big fake puppet! Brrrrr! Rosie Gilbert, Hants
