Nicolas Cage is to star in an updated version of 1992's Bad Lieutenant which starred Harvey Keitel. Werner Herzog will direct the new film. Cage is currently making Knowing in Australia for director Alex Proyas.
Michael Moore is to do a sequel to Fahrenheit 9/11, which won the coveted Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2004. Variety reports that the sequel will cover Bush's low popularity while the Iraq war continues and the economy falters.
Tom Cruise is in talks for Phillip Noyce's planned film 28th Amendment. The story apparently sees an American President, Ben Cahill (Cruise), discover a secret committee run by Denzel Washington that has controlled the American government since WWII.
Indiana Jones has been voted the best film series of all time. Odeon polled 4.1m British film fans and the Spielberg creation came out on top a week before the fourth film opens.
