The House Bunny (12A) 97 mins
Review by Victor Olliver - When Playboy bunny Shelley (Scary Movie's Anna Faris) hits 27, her "mentor" Hugh Hefner, 82, throws her out of the Mansion... for being too old.
That's about the only satire you'll find in this otherwise laugh of a film.
So she, yes, hops off to become the house mother of a female college of spectacle wearers and acne victims - or (as Americans like to say) losers.
Produced by Adam Sandler's company, House Bunny treats us to the gospel according to Playboy as Shelley tutors her deadbeat students in how to be hot.
She in turn learns she has a brain, and isn't it amazing films with such a message are still being made? Then again The House Bunny is a big US hit.
Hefner resembles a benign zombie these days and no doubt was pleasured by the free publicity. Verdict 2½/5
