Punter pointers
Lay of the day (2.40 Kempton)
In Transit is best on official ratings but has been disappointing of late.
Likely longshot (4.00 Windsor)
Plaisterer has improved with every run and is interesting now in handicaps.
Longest traveller (5.00 Windsor)
Irish challenger Irish Bay should improve for the step back up in trip.
Drop in class (4.30 Windsor)
Bowder Stone was a solid third in a hot handicap at Chester and this slight drop in grade could enable Mark Tompkins' colt to return to winning ways with the track likely to suit.
Moving house (4.40 Kempton)
Agapanthus failed to beat a horse home in the German Derby last time, but could have been given a chance on his handicap debut for new connections.
Top strikers (2003-2008)
Ed McMahon has a good record at Windsor and he saddles Pressing Matters in the 3.30. The juvenile was squeezed for room at a vital time on his debut at Bath, but finished his race well and is likely to come on for that experience.
Neil Callan is the leading jockey at Wolverhampton and he rides Willkandoo in the 3.50. A good winner on the Polytrack at Dundalk last time, he may not be stopped by a 6lb penalty.
It all points to ... (3.50 Wolves)
A 6lb penalty for an impressive Dundalk success is unlikely to stop Willkandoo, who seems adept at either 7f or 1m. A winner over the longer trip last time, he returns to this shorter distance in the form of his life, having made the frame on his last four starts.
