Reviews by John Earls - Seven months since she was Critics' Choice at the Brits, Florence faces scepticism.

She overcomes it, because there is no contrived style to a fairytale world that's closer to Bat For Lashes than the current '80s revival scene.

Too close to Annie Lennox at times, but Florence dazzles at both simple ballads and exotic driving rock. She deserves to survive when the hype dies off. 7/10

Jacko not the first moonwalker
On his frankly embarrassing Question Time appearance Jarvis Cocker claimed that Michael Jackson invented the moonwalk. Nonsense. Shalamar's Jeffrey Daniel did it on TOTP in 1982, a year before Jacko. A tapdancer called Bill Bailey apparently did an earlier version in the '50s. DJ Gordy
