Santa Cruz misses qualifiers
Roque Santa Cruz will miss Paraguay's World Cup qualifying double header after picking up a hamstring injury in Saturday's defeat by Manchester United.
The striker limped off as Rovers lost 2-0 at Ewood Park, and he will not be forced to travel for his nation's games against Colombia and Peru.
Rovers chairman John Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Everyone has seen sense and he will stay with us."
