A round-up of movies out now
Brideshead Revisited (12A)
Charles Ryder's life changes when he befriends Lord Sebastian and is introduced to the troubled Marchmains. Faith, sexuality and frustrated love compete with lush settings.
How To Lose Friends & Alienate People (15)
Based on Toby Young's memoir about his time at Vanity Fair mag, the film follows Sidney Young's social mishaps at celebrity New York title Sharps.
Righteous Kill (15)
Detectives Turk (Robert De Niro) and Rooster (Al Pacino) pursue a psycho who leaves a poem on the body of victims. The drama is punctuated by Turk's apparent video confession that he's the killer. A humdrum cop procedural whose two star legends are the real lure.
Death Race (15)
Jason Statham stars as a prisoner forced to take part in a homicidal car race to gain his freedom. Thrills.
Taken (15)
Liam Neeson as an over-protective dad (and former CIA spy) whose 17-year-old daughter and friend are abducted by sex slave traffickers on a visit to Paris. Extremely violent.
Tropic Thunder (15)
Ben Stiller targets the making of war movies and actors who star in them. Hilarious spoof movie trailers and a hip hop-dancing Tom Cruise get the laughs, but not all the jokes work.
