German star to shine
Charl Schwartzel did us a big favour in Madrid on Sunday and for this week's Portugal Masters we are siding with Martin Kaymer at odds of 20/1.
The German just missed out on the Ryder Cup team but he has won two events this year, the latest in June when capturing the BMW International Open in Munich.
Tied for second at the recent Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, he is sure to be there or thereabouts here.
Jaidee worth a jolly
Steve Webster defends his Portugal Masters title this week but for an each-way punt we will be having a small interest on Thongchai Jaidee at 50/1.
The 38-year-old from Thailand has been going well in his most recent tournaments and was tied for eighth at last week's Madrid Masters.
Jaidee posted four rounds in the 60s in Spain and a third European Tour success may not be long in coming.
